Scope and legal bases

We process personal data only when a legal basis exists. Depending on the situation, processing is based on consent under Article 6(1)(a) GDPR, performance of a contract or pre-contractual measures under Article 6(1)(b), a legal obligation under Article 6(1)(c), or legitimate interests under Article 6(1)(f). Our legitimate interests include secure, reliable and efficient operation of this website and professional handling of enquiries.

Storage period

Personal data is stored only for as long as required for the stated purpose or for statutory retention obligations. Data is deleted when the purpose no longer applies and no legal obligation requires continued storage.

Your rights

Subject to the applicable legal requirements, you have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection. You may withdraw consent at any time with effect for the future. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. Secure transmission

When HTTPS is available, data transmitted between your browser and the web server is encrypted using TLS. Please do not submit confidential information if your browser does not display a secure HTTPS connection.

Contact and application forms

Information entered in contact and application forms, together with uploaded files, is processed to handle the relevant enquiry and forwarded by email on the server side. Required fields are marked. The legal bases are Article 6(1)(a), (b) and (f) GDPR, depending on the nature of the enquiry.

To protect the forms against misuse, short-lived technical security information is processed. IP addresses are stored in security logs only as non-reversible hashes. Old logs and rate-limit data are automatically deleted.

Cookies, language and local storage

The website uses technically necessary session functions and stores your language selection in a cookie named “badmatic_language”. Your external-media choice is stored locally in your browser so that it can be respected on subsequent page views. You can change the choice through “Manage consent” or remove it by deleting your browser data.

External media

YouTube, SoundCloud, Twitch and the embedded Spreadshop are loaded only after you consent to “External media”. Loading such content may transmit your IP address, device and browser information, time of access and the page viewed to the respective provider. The legal bases are Article 6(1)(a) GDPR and Section 25(1) TDDDG. Consent may be withdrawn at any time with effect for the future.

Web radio by laut.fm

The audio stream is requested only when you actively use the player. For technical reasons, your IP address is transmitted to laut.fm or the stream server. The provider is laut.ag, Seilerstraße 7, 20359 Hamburg, Germany. See the laut.fm privacy information.

Optional bot protection

Cloudflare Turnstile is disabled in the supplied base configuration. If the operator activates it, a separate data-protection assessment and appropriate information are required before use. Further information is available in the Cloudflare Privacy Policy.
